Where Are You Placing Your Health on Your To-Do List?

You know your health is important. But let’s be honest—is it actually getting the attention it deserves? Or are you finding yourself constantly saying, “I’m just too busy”?

Is It Really About Time?

When we say we don’t have time, what we’re often really saying is that we’re not prioritising ourselves. It’s not a lack of hours in the day; it’s where those hours are going. The truth is, we make time for what truly matters to us. So if you’re always putting yourself last, maybe it’s time to ask: Why?

Waiting Until It Hurts?

I hear it all the time from my clients: “I just don’t have the time.” Yet, when they’re in pain and struggling to move, suddenly their health becomes the top priority. Their motivation is sky-high because getting out of pain feels non-negotiable. But do you really want to wait until you’re in that state to take action?

Life Is Busy—We Get It

You’ve got a lot on your plate. Work, family, relationships, managing the house—the list goes on. But where are you on that list? What happens if you push yourself to the bottom for too long? Imagine the impact if you suddenly became ill or immobile because you hadn’t been looking after yourself. It’s not just about you; it’s about the people who rely on you too.

Small Steps, Big Changes

Here’s the good news: prioritising your health doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Taking just a few minutes each day to care for yourself can make a huge difference. It might be a short walk, stretching, or preparing a nourishing meal. The key is to start small and build from there.

What will you do today?

  1. Take a 15 minute walk before you start your day - this not only gets you moving, it ensures you’re contributing to your daily step count before you sit down to work.

  2. Working from home - stand up for your meetings. If no one is looking, add in some hip movements such as hip circles.

  3. Are you taking a lunch break? if not, why not? This is your time. Having a break from the screen is not only good for your body, but also your eyes.

Make Yourself a Priority

Your health isn’t a luxury; it’s a foundation. So, where are you placing it on your to-do list? It’s time to stop waiting and start acting. You deserve it.
