Relieve Muscle and Joint Pain

Worcester Park, Epsom

Are you suffering with tight muscles, muscular aches or spasms and seeking immediate pain relief?

In my treatment room, in Worcester Park, I combine various soft tissue therapy techniques to help your muscles relax, thus reducing pain. My goal is to get you back to active living again as fast as possible, so the techniques I use will vary depending on your needs.

What is Soft Tissue Therapy?

Soft tissue therapy is a hands-on treatment that involves manipulating and rehabilitating the body's soft tissues, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It can help with a variety of issues, including:

  • Relieving tension and pain

  • Improving range of movement

  • Reducing the risk of injury

  • Treating knee joint dysfunctions, lower back pain, shoulder joint dysfunctions

  • Relieving repetitive strain injury

  • Relieving sprains

  • Improving posture

Soft tissue therapy can also improve circulation and lymphatic flow, remove metabolic waste, and remodel scar tissue.

Success Stories

“I had been doing some decluttering and moving things which resulted in a sharp back pain which also ran down my right leg. I was in pain and having problems walking.

You are a consummate professional and your knowledge and healing techniques are second to none. I particularly love the emmett technique which is such a light touch for amazing results. I am out of pain and can move freely, walk up and down stairs properly, turn over in bed without groaning. I can get on with my life. Quite wonderful.” - Cathy

“Sabrina used a technique called Emmett. This was my first experience with such a technique and I am amazed with the results. I was able to notice the change straight away.

Tension in my lower back muscles is gone, I feel more flexible and I can easily bend down which I couldn't do before. Working from home made my hips really stiff and painful and but now I’ve got my movement back. Sabrina is really amazing at observing what is wrong with your posture.” - M

“I was struggling with pain in both knees and my back which meant I was limited in how far I could walk. Stairs were very difficult, to be avoided if possible.

I had never had any treatment before so was a little unsure about it. You were very reassuring, there was no embarrassment. I found your approach very professional and informative. I have improved mobility in my knees and my back pain has considerably eased.” - Sue

Pain is not a natural part of aging—it's a sign that your body needs care, not acceptance.

Remedial Massage

Sports and Remedial Massage can include deep tissue massage but a good soft tissue therapist will use it along side the many other tools we have available. I apply different techniques depending on what you present with and how your tissue responds. This may include, but is not limited to, neuromuscular stretching, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release.

You do not need to be sporty to receive this treatment. This treatment is for anyone with muscular tightness, pain or discomfort.

Emmett Technique

EMMETT Technique is a light touch therapy which is particularly suitable to those who may be sensitive to pain or just seeking a more gentle treatment. This treatment is highly targeted and extremely effective at producing an immediate relaxation response, most clients feel immediate improvement to how they move and few require follow up treatments.

FAQS

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions you have is dependent on you and your outcome goals.  Most clients find they achieve a lot of relief from just one session. Some clients come because they have limited movement in a joint, which causes pain - for many, full range of movement is restored in their first session and they don’t feel a need to return.

Others have more complex needs so they opt for more in depth programmes.

We discuss your options during your call or initial session. You are not committed to a follow up programme when you book in for one session. My goal is to get you to where you want to be as fast as possible.

Where do sessions take place?

My treatment and training room is in Worcester Park, KT4 7BE.

Are you the same as a physio?

Physiotherapists help people maintain health and treat injuries, illnesses, and disabilities using movement, exercise, and other techniques - I do this too, however as therapists we all have slightly different tools and we use them differently. One of my tools is EMMETT Technique, which is gentle, yet extremely effective at eliciting a muscle relaxation response. Exercises are recommended to change and improve long term movement.

Can I just have a massage?

I apply the most effective techniques I have to hand in order to get my clients fast, effective results - pain relief. This means EMMETT Technique trumps massage. I do however sometimes integrate the use of some remedial massage techniques such as vibrations, neuro-muscular stretching, trigger point therapy to name a few. Massages are not offered as a stand alone treatment.
